In recent years, geopolitical developments have highlighted the vital role of safeguarding undersea cables. These cables form the backbone of global telecommunications, carrying the vast majority of international data traffic. Their protection, resilience, and regulation have become central issues in both security policy and international law.

Our mini-conference brings together Hungarian experts to explore the history, technical aspects, security challenges, and legal frameworks surrounding undersea cables, aiming to shed light on the timely challenges facing this critical infrastructure.
