Dr. Balázs Bartóki-Gönczy, Director of our Institute, recently completed a series of academic and professional engagements in Brazil, further strengthening international cooperation in the fields of space law, governance and sustainable space activities.
At the invitation of the Brazilian Space Agency, Dr. Bartóki-Gönczy delivered a keynote speech at the Brazilian Space Show on the evolving regulatory framework for space sustainability. During his visit, he met representatives of the Brazilian space sector, including President Marco Antonio Chamon and Prosecutor General Ian Grosner.
Dr. Bartóki-Gönczy also served as a visiting lecturer at UniCEUB (Centro Universitário de Brasília), where he delivered a lecture on the fundamentals of space law for the university’s newly launched graduate programme in Space Law. The event brought together students and academics interested in the rapidly developing fields of space law and governance.
The Brazilian Space Agency highlighted the importance of the event in promoting education and capacity-building in strategic areas of the national space sector, and stressed the need for cooperation between educational institutions and the space sector in training the next generation of professionals in the field.
