Our Institute had the honour to have Rosanna Deim-Hoffmann from the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). Rosanna shared her experiences and knowledge with students of the UNISPACE programme and our researchers.

Rosanna is a legal expert at UNOOSA, head of the 'Space Law for New Space Actors' project and Acting Secretary of the Working Group on the Legal Aspects of Space Resource Activities. Prior to her current role, she served as an executive officer at the European Centre for Space Law.

During the workshop, she shared her insights on pressing challenges in space law, including space resources, legal aspects of the protection of dark and quiet skies, and the registration of space objects. Furthermore, she spoke about the relationship between UNOOSA and UNCOPUOS, emphasising the significance of the work conducted there.

On Friday, she also delivered a lecture to UNISPACE students on UNOOSA and UN COPUOS.
