Our researcher, András Edl has been invited to a conference organised by the Historical Archives of the State Security Services (ÁBTL). He gave a presentation about the Space Program of the People's Republic of China from the beginning until 1989. The conference discussed in great detail the space programs of the former Eastern Bloc countries, highlighting the aspects of state security, intelligence services, the role of scientists, state propaganda and the effects of the geopolitical landscape. The contributing experts came from academia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and colleagues from the organising institution.
