The safety and security of satellite systems in outer space and the development of the defense capability of states through the space segment play an increasingly important role in the strategy of states. This process is strengthened and accelerated by the geopolitical situation, as well as by the drastically increased number of satellites and space debris. That is why our Research Institute and the Hungarian Association of Military Science is organizing a two-day international conference titled Security, Defence and Outer Space. The first day of the conference focuses on legal and security policy issues, while the theme of the second day is defence innovation and the planetary protection (e.g. space weather). The detailed programme is available in the attached agenda.
Dates: 9-10 May 2023
Place: University of Public Service, Széchenyi Hall (1083 Budapest, Ludovika tér 2.)
